Date cream with chestnut pulp is an easy-to-make and very nutritious seasonal recipe that is usually enjoyed by everyone.
Both chestnuts and dates are very light in fat and rich in fibre. Their high fibre content helps to improve digestion and relieve constipation.
On the other hand, the large amount of carbohydrates they contain make them an ideal food for those who need extra energy, such as breastfeeding women, anaemics or sportsmen and women.
Thanks to the wide variety of minerals they offer (calcium, copper, selenium, magnesium, zinc…), they are foods that help to strengthen bones and prevent osteoporosis.
Their high mineral and vitamin content gives them anti-inflammatory and vascular properties.

Date cream is a versatile winter cream that can be made with a variety of ingredients. The version we share in this recipe is prepared in combination with chestnut pulp, which gives it a special autumn-winter flavour.
The resulting cream is a spreadable cream, similar to chocolate or peanut butter but with less fat and more fibre.

- 100 g pitted dates
- 50 ml of chestnut milk or any other plant milk
Preparation time: 10 minutes
- Grind the dates and the chestnut pulp in a food processor until well blended.
- Add the milk and blend again for 1 to 2 minutes.
- If necessary, add more milk until the desired consistency is reached.
- Cover and store in the fridge. It will last between 3 and 5 days.
It is ideal for snacks, breakfasts or pastry fillings. Cheers!
